Really looking forward to this game. Interesting read.
And so it continues, the perpetual sh*t fight over who has the best games blah blah blah. I think I could count the rational 'gamers' on one hand from the entire N4G site. Why do I bother?
Huge listing.... I thought the 360 had no games?
Yes the maps can be downloaded separately, but if you buy the Halo Wars CE you get them for free.
I love Skate. As a skater (atleast I used to be), I enjoy the realism of EA's title. Wonder if Tony Hawk can hit back?
Lost Odyssey was developed by Mistwalker...
Agreed. It does have arguably the most faithful and strong online community. Kudos to Bungie.
@ 1.7: Good call and exactly write, unfortunately these uninformative claims get more views.
Msg to the author, if you do some shopping around you will find PS3's on sale at many major retailers for $588 with a free game at the moment, using one retailer as a comparison is a p*ss poor effort on your behalf. Guess what, that seems pretty much in line with the US pricing you detailed... who EVER pays RRP?
I half agree. Though the 'casual' crowd has always been catered to by the NES, PS1 etc, I think the Wii is actually carving out a new crowd with people that wouldn't even be considered casual gamers. Nintendo are snagging people who would never previously consider playing videogames, which could be considered 'first timers' not even casuals gamers.
These re-releases are for the people who never played the GC versions or for big fans of these selected games. If you already have the GC titles it's simple, don't buy them...
Well Twilight as a whole (books/film) doesn't interest me at all, can't see a game changing that...
@ Jack: I would be very interested in reading about the worldwide release speculation before E3, cause in all seriousness I had never heard that. Though that process can occur, (localisation) it seems it is up to the dev, in which way they want to handle that beast. Given the fact that Japanese gamers are now expecting an 09' release, any type of delay (on there end) is out of the question, so out goes the worldwide release possibility.
You can also look at say Level 5 with White...
@ Jack: I understand what you are saying but no where have Square ever said they would release FFXIII worldwide. So we can't really make assumptions and say they would have if it wasn't coming to the 360 as well.
Also it is still procedure to finish the game before translation occurs, not whilst production is still going on. Plus then the localisation to many European nations, who not only speak different languages but also have an entirely different gaming standard (PAL) than Ja...
@ Jackdoe: As you said in your comment below, why would they want to anyway. With massive releases coming out in Japan in 09' (DQ9 and FFXIII) it would be foolhardy to leave no significant releases for the 2010 fiscal year. With there current plans in mind (FFXIII Japanese Holiday release) the usual practice of localisation/translations can occur and by the time that process is finished, FFXIII will release in NA/EU as bolster 2010 financials, I'm sure keeping the shareholders happy.
@ Unicron.
It has been stated by plenty of Square-Enix employees (including Mr. Kitase) that the porting process as well as the localisation will occur simultaneously because they will have a separate team handling both procedures. Infact he has stated that there will be a significant decrease in localisation time (especially for us Europeans and Aussie's who typically have to wait a whole year). So I'm more than happy with that outcome.
Very true Nai, no wonder gamers have a bad reputation, when fanboys act like spoilt children it makes us all look bad
We are talking about Final Fantasy games here. It has been stated several times that they aim to decrease the localisation time with FFXIII. From Mr. Kitase
"Until now, the Japanese versions of Final Fantasy would release in Japan, and then six months later, the North American version would be released, and then another three to six months later, the European versions would ship -- so there was usually a gap of almost a year by the time every territory got their version of the late...
How many users actually play WoW? I consider it too much of a life drainer to give it a go.
I really wanted this game to be good, considering I'm actually studying Ancient Greece I had high hopes for this game...
Possibly the worst reasoning I have ever heard, though look who it's coming from. You spend your time arguing which console is better, I spend my time trying to reason with people. Ignorance is bliss as they say, right mate?
